The school of Computer Science at UIR invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Computer Science at the assistant or associate professor level. We are seeking candidates in Artificial Intelligence, and in particular in Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and/or Generative AI, in the broadest possible senseincluding but not limited to theoretical foundations, algorithms, systems, software, and applications.
Mission
The successful applicant will contribute fully to both undergraduate and graduate teaching across the School of Computer Science program. The applicant will lead or contribute to the teaching of courses such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, Big Data Technologies, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data mining, the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Advanced Databases (NoSQL), Data Stream Processing/Analysis, as well as foundation courses in computer science such as Programming Languages, Mobile Development, Web Technologies, Operating Systems etc.

The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent and innovative research program aligned with the areas indicated above.

Profil
Candidates must have a doctorate, or be in the final phase of doctoral studies in Computer Science or a related field. Evidence of excellence in research and teaching is required. The position involves teaching in French and English. Salaries are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
