The International University of Rabat (UIR) is the first university to have been set up as part of a partnership between the Moroccan State and the private sector in the field of higher education. This partnership allows UIR to work towards the attainment of its objectives: excellence in education, research and active participation in the socio-economic development of the region and the kingdom, at large.


Mission

The Dean of the Computer Science (CS) department reports directly to the Dean of the College of Engineering & Architecture. This role encompasses comprehensive responsibility for academic leadership and school administration. The dean oversees administrative operations, formulates strategic initiatives for the school, contributes to long-term planning and policy establishment at the college and university levels. Providing high-level administrative leadership, the dean focuses on areas such as curriculum development, faculty academic affairs, student life, institutional assessment and improvement, human resources, faculty evaluation, promotion, and career development. Additionally, the Dean manages the school's budget and finances, collaborate on facilities planning and management, and foster partnerships with industry, foundations, and government organizations.


Profil

Minimum Qualification:

A PhD degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, telecommunications, or a related filed.

Preferred Qualification:

A visionary and collaborative leader with a clear perspective on the future of information technology institutions and professions in Morocco and beyond. The ideal candidate should exhibit a tangible dedication to both research and teaching excellence. Furthermore, a strong commitment to equity and inclusion across all university and school domains, along with cultural sensitivity, is essential. The candidate should also possess a demonstrated track record of success as an academic administrator.
